Tyumen State Oil and Gas University (TSOGU) in cooperation with Royal Holloway University of London runs a Dual Award Master’s degree program of training and retraining for specialists in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics on the basis of the Centre for Professional Training and Retraining for Petroleum Geoscientists (Tyumen). The educational program keeps up with the oil and gas business requirements as related to Petroleum Geoscience.

It provides an in-depth study of geophysical analysis, petroleum systems, reservoir properties, risks and economic analysis, as well as other specialized disciplines in the English language.

The teaching is done mostly by lecturers from Royal Holloway University of London, TSOGU, Lomonosov Moscow State University as well as TNK-BP staff. The centre provides for up-to-date facilities: the cutting-edge equipment including the laboratory for 3D visualization, the videoconference hall and workstations with double screens. The students have at their disposal modern software such as ROXAR, ARCGIS, GEOFRAME, PETREL and others.

The Program provides for practical fieldwork in Great Britain.

Upon completion of this Program, the participants will receive a diploma from TSOGU and a Master’s degree from Royal Holloway University of London.
